When you ride hour after hour, the last thing you want is a bibshort with shoulder straps that dig trenches in your shoulders and a chamois that feels like a soggy diaper. Castelli made the Endurance Cycling Bibshort with a wide lower-back stretch zone (so your shoulder straps won’t pull when you get into cycling position) and a breathable, quick-dry AC seat-pad. The AC’s antibacterial surface reduces funk and anatomic molding cuts down on between-the-legs bulk.
This bibshort has many issues with it. I have worn mine less than ten times and the light grey stitching is unraveling, and there are about 4 more threads hanging. They are not stretchy at all and that presents a sizing problem. The chamois is also not positioned correctly for me. I am 6'2" and 170 and wear a medium. The chamois is too far up my back so that it is not positioned under my sit bones.
Be careful with this one. I would size up on this one and the Free bibs. The Cronos from last year were true to size as are the Velocissimo and Wicked.
What is the inseam length for the various shorts? Does the inseam increase proportionally to the size? Can you order a specific inseam length and size?
I do not have the exact inseam measurement for various shorts but I can tell you that how a short fits varies greatly from person to person. Castelli shorts tend to sit higher on the thigh than most American Brands. The inseam does get longer as the size gets larger and you cannot order a specific inseam length.
I liked these shorts for the most part. I am 175ish and 6'1" and the XL is the way to go. the chamois is great the fit is good on these they are really comfortable. EXCEPT..... they have NO leg grippers and they legs ride up and bunch at the crotch after a while and then they start to rub in the wrong place. I ended up sadly sending them back. I absolutely love my other Castelli shorts though so I will just have to try another style.
I've put 200 miles on these in less than 2 weeks and loved every minute of it. I bought the white ones and they look great...not too revealing either as opposed to cheaper models. Comfort is on par with my Giordana and Capo bibs - unsurpassed! I love the feel of these shorts both in and out and the straps are perfect, not too tight and not too lose. I definitely recommend you size up. I wear a large in my other bibs and ordered XL in these. I'm very pleased! If something changes with the stiching or wear in the near future I'll definitely come back and tell you.
Write your question here... Hi there, can you tell me if you have IN STOCK have the Castelli Endurance bib-shorts in white in size medium. If so can you ship them to the UK and how long do you think it would take. Many thanks. Bob
The drop down above is accurate to our current inventory, so yes we do have the size medium white in stock. We can ship to the UK and it usually takes around 10-15 days to arrive. Thanks!
I love the look of these bibs. The bib straps are really flexible and don't dig into your neck. The shorts have a really flexible seam along the thigh that breath and move with you, great feel. I have longer legs but Ive never had a pair of shorts come up so high on my thigh. It was weird at first but got used to it and now my tan line is higher! The chamois is a bit rigid and wide for my taste and after 30 miles I started to feel the burn, but seat selection and position is half the battle. So overall its a good bib (at the sale price).
Two things I did notice thought, first - the chamois is a bit wider so will need to apply more Chamois Butt'r. Second, buy a size larger. I'm 6' 0", 175 and needed to get the XL. While the chamois is wider it didn't feel bulky or like a diaper.
