Clif Bar's flagship product, the Clif Bar, isn't dry and doesn't taste like sawdust, like so many energy bars. This flavorful, moist bar features 70% organic ingredients, protein, vitamins, and minerals to get you through your bike ride, daylong hike, or workday. Get a 12-pack of your favorite fruity, chocolaty, or nutty concoction.
Lots of bar options, but I keep coming back to the old faithful Clif Bar. I really like the choc chip or choc chip peanut crunch - kind of like cocolate bars, but good for you. The nice thing is that they stay fairly pliable when you are exercising outdoors in the winter, but they do not goo up in the summer. Great choice for working out or a quick snack.
After 30mins of riding I eat half of the bar and after 20mins more I eat the other half. This really helps me keep going that extra mile and to maintain my rhythm. Also when they taste pretty good.
I eat these in the morning before a ride along with a banana. They sit well on my stomach, and in the advent of a longer ride, I carry one in my "bento box" to sustain my energy level. These don't give you the instant pick up of an energy drink, but seem to better sustain my energy throughout the ride. My favorites are the Blueberry Crisp, the Oatmeal Raisin Walnut, and the Chocolate Chip, which I don't see here.
