I've been using mine for over a year and it's still going strong. The locking mechanism is still good and running smooth (thanks to the keyhole cover). The rubber sheathing over the 'U' is durable. Mine only has a couple of minor cuts/scratches but it isn't fraying or coming off (even after a year of use). Zero rust. I use this lock everyday through blazing sun, rain, cold winter days, and snow. So far there isn't on speck of rust or other corrosion. In short, it'd be hard to beat the Cutter Commuter U-Lock.
