You’re not one of those faux cyclists. Oh, no. You ride an actual bike, not an imaginary one. You ride a lot. is it foam padding or gel?

This is a foam padding from Elastic Interface Technologies (EIT), the company that makes the Chamois for lots of apperal brands, Assos, Hincapie, Capo, etc.

That being said if the chamois shipping is the one included in the pictures it is one of EITs lowest end models.

How is the padding is this short vs any other brand? I just starting cycling and the canari brand does not give any comfort as far as the padding is concerned.

I'm afraid it's a very personal thing! Each brand has several different levels of comfort available in their shorts. It all depends on which chamois you choose and how that chamois fits your bottom! Finding the right chamois tends to be a trial-and-error process. I know lots of people who love Canari, but you have to find the right one for your arse.

They don't have the rubber like leg grips but they have some very nice elastic that holds them down well, is comfortable and they don't stretch out over time.
