Castelli Rosso Corsa Bike Gloves - Men's

Don't grip your handlebars with sweaty palms. The Castelli Men's Rosso Corsa Bike Glove features a mesh palm that wicks moisture to keep your hands dry and comfortable. Silicone Grip padding keeps your fingers and palm planted and prevents rawness. The stretch wrist fits comfortably, and the easy-off finger loops mean you won't be stuck in your gloves when the race is over.

Bottom Line: Spare your hands from a raw, sweaty ride with Castelli's Rosso Corsa Bike Glove.

Good gloves, careful with finger loops

By: Imre Kovacs
November 2, 2009

These gloves are comfortable, breathed well in hot weather. They're much better than the Castelli Pro Gel gloves -- better fit, more comfortable and better looking, IMO. They're also better than the Pearl Izumi slice, Gyro Lusso, Gyro Monaco and a couple others I've tried. I use the fleece nose-wipe area a lot so I washed these gloves often and they held up well to that also.
The only problem I had with them is that two of the finger loops broke during the first few uses. The gloves are a little tough to get off and the finger loops aren't designed to be reefed on. Now I'm more careful with tugging and haven't broken any more finger loops. I sent those gloves back and got three more pairs of the same.

great gloves

By: wadt

I have ridden with about every brand there is. These are great! Comfortable with the right amount of padding and even the little loops are nice for taking them off. I haven't been in really hot weather yet, but they seem to be nicely ventilated. I just wish they had some other colors and I would buy more.

Ok Glove but Over Priced

By: ver3122358

Nice Tacky feel and good padding but I prefer the Giodana Silverines that are $20 ($12 on Sale). Just doesn't seem worth the price

Pretty nice summer gloves if discounted

By: pugetmarco
August 31, 2009

I've had a few Castelli gloves over the years and decided to try these when they went on sale. But they have a few good things going for them. The palm is nice and tacky for bar contact. The finger pulls are definitely a nice touch - having struggled with most other snug-fitting gloves to pull them off, this is a very nice design feature.

One other surprise, not good - they stretch, a lot. I normally wear 2XL in Castelli gloves. But these gloves stretched so much my hands were sliding around inside the glove. I exchanged these for the XL and while snug first time, they have given just enough to be the right size.

At the regular retail price, these gloves are definitely over-priced. But on sale, they are a reasonable purchase once you get the right size. I probably won't be using these all the time in place of my regular PI gloves, but they're a nice addition.

SIZE

By: Scott Berger
July 7, 2009

I recieved the gloves today. Bought an XL.
It fits my wife! 5'8" and thin.
I can get my fingers in up to the knuckles. Forget the thumb.
The size chart provided by a customer??? (WAKE ER) does not say where to measure your hand. Across the knuckles? around a fist? Thanx anyway guy. Do I chance XXL?
Across knuckles - 9.75" w/ flat hand. Gloves look nice but size is an issue.

Nice Gloves

By: aaron.lapo567275
July 22, 2008

I wasn't sure if I'd like these not having velcro straps at the wrists, but I quickly realized that the best part, no messing with velcro, the slip on and off nicely, the loops on the fingers work great. I don't think they kept my hands any cooler then other gloves I've owned (Pearl, Garneu, etc.) but they are nice and I'd buy them again if I lost them today.

Excellent gloves...a bit on the small side

By: ecrandell2086766
May 12, 2009

Expertly constructed as you would expect from Castelli's Rosso Corsa line, but be warned - these run a bit smaller than some of the other popular brands of gloves. I typically wear a Medium in most brands, and these mediums are pretty tight. Not to the point that I feel the need to return them, but it makes getting them off a giant pain. Either way, exactly what I've come to expect from Castelli.

Like these gloves

By: ns100371806
August 16, 2009

I love the gel pads in these gloves. They are so much more comfortable to ride in than a lot of my other gloves. I also love the finger loops. They come off so much easier with those. I'm not sure if I would get them a size bigger or not next time though. I have used them quite a bit and the main thing that seems to be tight in the opening where my hand goes in. The rest feels like a normal large sized glove. But I did go along with what the others said and got the large and am still very happy with them. I might end up buying them in the white/red next time.

not a good glove

By: abenities Realcyclist.com Employee
July 14, 2009

First of all, like others have stated, the sizing is borderline youth based. I wear a Medium in practically every brand and I almost needed the jaws of life to get this off my hand. The "handy" pull tabs are a great design idea but I feared for their lives in helping to get the glove off. The craftsmanship is satisfactory at best. The seams and stitching would be irritating and the material is on par with a $20 retail glove from Performance. For a $50 pair of gloves you'd expect great padding and design but this glove comes up short in all areas. Not what I expected from a Castelli product.

As with all Castelli clothing I've ever bought, the sizing is small. Realcyclist even states in their sizing chart that they suggest getting a size larger for Castelli's other clothes. Some sites even say two sizes. The gloves are probably not any different. I fit a Small in the Giro Zero and Monaco but I need the Medium Rosso Corsa. I find all three of them to fit about the same.

If you get the right size the finger loops work pretty well however the Giro Zero has better designed loops.

As for padding, people like no, light or heavy padding. I like the padding on these gloves because they are light and a good compromise between cushioning and bar feel. I find most other gloves to cushion far too much that they feel dead. If I had the palms of steel I would've chosen the Zero.
