Castelli Zen Due Bike Short - Women's

Castelli made the Women's Zen Due 15cm Bike Shorts with soft, supportive fabric and a low-bulk chamois. This way, the Lycra fabric keeps your muscles warm, and you won't feel like you're riding with a pillow-sized maxi pad on. The anatomical Kiss chamois has an antibacterial surface that dries quickly and airflow panels that promote breathability on long rides. Castelli eliminated the inner leg seams on the Zen Due Bike Shorts to prevent chafing, and added soft-touch elastic grippers on the leg hems and waist.

Not worth the money

I wore these shorts for the last time on a ride last night. They are, frankly, the worst cycling shorts I have ever owned. The chamois is bulky and large and feels akin to wearing a diaper. There is too much padding on the frontal region, and the added pressure made things very uncomfortable after only about 10 miles. In addition, I think these shorts are poorly constructed -- I had to return my first pair because one of the leg bands frayed after only one washing. And now with the second pair, one of the seams on the chamois has already started to pop open. Also, the shorts you get are not those pictured -- these shorts have non-wrapped elastic bands at both the leg and waist, which makes for that sausage look nobody likes. I have had cheaper shorts that performed better than these, and I'm highly disappointed because I expected better of Castelli. I recommend you go with Shebeest or Pearl Izumi shorts instead, as I have had great luck with both of these.
