Just bought these gloves... each time after wearing (five rides so far) they leave my palms stained black, and they also turned my nice white handlebar tape dirty black (pretty bummed about that one). Is this normal with these gloves or do I have a defective pair?

Yes, after 4 washes they still stain my hands and handlebar tape. They fit great but the bleed is so annoying.

Did you try throwing them in the washing machine (by themselves on gentle cycle in cold water w/ a small amount of detergent)? Usually that will help the dreaded color-bleed.
