nice idea, but not for me

I tried these mostly because I prefer knickers (I don't cover my lower legs unless it's below freezing) and I love the fit and chamois of my GORE Ozon summer weight bibs. But when I received these, I noticed a tear in the Windstopper membrane on the upper left leg, so I returned them as damaged. I'm guessing I got the rare bad pair, because GORE is known for their exceptional quality.

Ultimately, I didn't opt for a replacement pair because I decided that Windstopper just doesn't work for me in skin-tight pants. It doesn't stretch like it should and it isn't breathable enough, which makes it feel like you're wearing rubber chaps. They were nice and warm, but my legs tend to sweat a lot even on cold rides, so I need something more breathable.

I can see really loving these if you can put up with having Windstopper on your legs, but I'll just have to stick with fleece myself.
