i got this jacket after being seduced by the glowing write up on another premuim internet site. tried for 2 rides and discovered that it wasn't worth this much money. you would think that if GH was really involved in designing this item he would have told them that cyclist want tops that are short in front to prevent bunching or puffing of material into their chins when on the hoods or in the drops, they want it long in the back to protect their backside when it is wet, and they want it to have sleeve lenght long enough for reaching without exposing their wrist. this very expensive rain jacket failed all of these. i ended up with the Cutter eVent shell from Realcycist at half the price, with much better fit. Realcycist has the best customer service in the industry!

Best shell ever

This jacket is amazing. I've owned or tried out a lot of waterproof options from Gore-tex to Windtex and they never seemed to breathe enough to keep from soaking in sweat on the hills and then freezing on the descents. The eVent material is fantastic and I've even been able to pull off running with this thing in the rain without soaking from sweat which is impossible for Gore-tex type jackets.

Not sure what the "gar3286718" review is talking about. I tried out both the Hincapie and Cutter eVent jackets and the Hincapie is much better. The fit is tighter around the waist and broader in the chest which means that for me (6'1" 175 lbs triathlete with 40 inch chest) the medium was a perfect form fit. The cutter was too loose in the gut in the large and too tight in the chest for the medium. Also the sleeves are longer on the Hincapie and have elastic to seal up around the wrists.

The back is plenty long and has a nice silicon gripper so that it doesn't ride up either.

Great fit, lightweight, packs easily, looks great. This thing is perfect for warm rainy days with just a jersey and cold days with base layers.
