I just ordered two more pairs of these shorts. I like the way that they are shorter than regular bike shorts so my tan line matches my summer shorts. The padding is very comfortable and they don't come up too high on the waist.

The description says that these shorts are for "indoor" rides...why? Are these not meant to be used for outdoor rides, and if so why not?

Don't worry, these shorts are plenty good for outdoor rides too. If it gets chilly outside, you'll want some leg warmers or knee warmers, but otherwise this is a good, basic all-purpose bike short.

This is my first Pearl Izumi product. The shorts don't really give me much support and the padding is thick and uncomfortable. I probably won't buy their bike shorts again.
