Pearl Izumi Vagabond Jacket - Women's - 2008

Pack the Pearl Izumi Women’s Vagabond Jacket for a day on the go—this is a jacket that likes to roam around as much as you do. The Vagabond does one fine job protecting you from wind and rain, plus you can zip off the sleeves and make it a vest for days when you only need light protection. The sleeves stow neatly in the large back pocket, plus front storage pockets offer space for your energy bar and keys. The Vagabond’s lightweight Zephrr fabric packs up nicely. Which is great, because you’ll pretty much always want to have it around for your rides.

I like that this is a multi purpose jacket because the sleeves are removable.

The only thing I think it lacks is a pocket in the back (like most cycling gear).

Other than that...All is well!

I can't say enough good things about it fits true to size I'm S, the pockets are spacious, nice weight the sleeves unzip and you have a one piece bolero that you fold easily I love this jacket.

It fits true to size, the pockets are spacious.
Unzip the sleves and it turns to a complete bolero, you just fold and go.
I love this Jacket.

This is my favorite jacket for riding! Fits true to size , lots of pockets and vents so you don't over heat. The sleeves unzip and you have a great vest.

I absolutely love this jacket. I love being able to remove the sleeves and using it as a vest. It's great when you ride in the early morning and need the warmth and wind break for your arms and then when things warm up, just zip off the sleeves and store in the back pocket. Haven't ridden in really cold or wet conditions yet since I bought my jacket at the beginning of summer. It's well made and no problem with zippers getting stuck or not working properly. Well designed. I bought the bright yellow (chartreuse?) and it's great for visibility. My friend bought one for himself because he wasn't happy with a jacket he had of a different brand and wishes he would have bought the Pearl Izumi sooner.

Haven't got to test this in heavy rain yet, but so far I love it. The fit is really nice, I love the fact that when you zip off the sleeves you not only have a vest but a great bolero too. Like the color. This is now my favorite jacket. Fits great in my small bag, the vest fits easily in a jersey pocket too. Great windbreaker, great venting.

The Swiss Army Knife of Bike Jackets/Vests

This jacket would be worth paying full price for, and I don't pay full price for anything. (And fortunately, since I bought it from backcountry.com, I didn't have to.) It fits like a glove, yet with enough room and flexibility to be comfortable and move.

It is well designed with the firmly-attached but easily-removed sleeves that let it serve as either vest or windbreaker.

I got the screaming yellow for visibility, and it screams, baby!

Get one. You'll love it.
