Pinarello FP6 Frameset - 2009

The FP6 Road Bike Frame features exactly the same design and ride as Pinarello’s industry leading Paris Carbon Frame, but saves you some coin by using a more affordable grade of carbon fiber at the cost of about 150 grams. This gorgeous frame uses 30HM3K carbon fiber wrapped into a state-of-the-art design to give you an unbelievably rigid, light ride. Featuring scalloped edges and radical multi-shaping, the FP6 Carbon boasts ultimate stiffness under power and rugged durability. This frame’s carbon monocoque construction alleviates stress points that cannot be addressed by traditional butting methods, and provides a gentler ride than aluminum. If you want a top-of-the-line ride that weighs a little more but costs a lot less, look to the FP6.

  • Includes: frame, fork, carbon seatpost

Bottom Line: The FP6 won’t disappoint.

Could someone venture a comparison between the FP6 and a Litespeed

Could someone venture a comparison between the FP6 and a Litespeed Tuscany 3.5 titanium in terms of comfort of the ride. I am thinking of replacing my ti bike with the fp6.

The Pinarello FP^ is second to none. Although the Litespeed is a descent frame, litespeed does not have the years of experience that Pinarello have. I will go Pinarello all the way!

Amazing Bike!!

By: Jason Tijsseling
November 18, 2009

Since I got this bike I get endless compliments on the looks and people are always saying "what did that cost you? like $8,000?" In which I can reply "nope, the frame was only $2500" and they are always stunned. Not only does itlook like a $8000 + bike but it performs as well too. Very stiff yet very smooth and comfortable on long rides. Climbs like a champ and holds its speed well in the flats. Great everyday bike that can truely do it all and do it all well. Signature Pinarello style is a plus too. I keep my bike in my living room (small condo) and sometimes I catch my self just staring at it. Amazing bike.

I'm 6'2 with a 33 inseam and I ride the 59.5 Paris, which has the same geometry as this frame; only difference is that it uses a slightly higher grade of carbon and weighs a few paperclips less. I rode the next frame size down, and I'd recommend the 59.5 if you can find it.

I am 6 feet 2 inches as well. My inseam is 34 and I ride a 60cm. If your inseam is less than a 33 I would go with a 58.

"58-62 would be my guess. These are sloping geometry. I am 5'11" 170lbs. 53 works fine for me.Also, when it says frame only it means frame, fork, intgr headset. Call these guys, and they can help you out 24/7."These are NOT sloping, they are standard geometry and fit large. At 6'2", you're hovering around the size 56 or 57 but if you're going to invest this kind of money in a frame you should spend $100~200 to be fit by a local shop that you trust.
