Pack leaders, pro road racers and insanely dedicated amateur cyclists share a shoe—the Sidi Men's Ergo 2. With teched-out features that read like a space mission checklist and Sidi's impeccable reputation for handmade Italian quality, the carbon-soled Ergo 2 sits level with full-custom racing shoe performance. Lorica synthetic microfiber and mesh uppers cradle your feet on endless distance rides, while three different heel, instep and forefoot buckle systems lock down to transfer pedal power like you never imagined was possible.
Bottom Line: The Sidi Ergo 2 will have you wallpapering your house with yellow jerseys.
with this shoes are a sword with two blades" you may tell your wife that your going training, and all you do is take the cleats off and clubing you can go!
out of luck, i got the last three pairs from "realcyclist" you better off getting the white one's they will not last and specially at this price, dont look at color they are "SIDI" the best price is "realcyclist"
I am a little chagrined to admit that I have these and the 6.6 (long story), both are terrific shoes. I really like the extra snug fit you can get with the twist type buckle - you can really micro adjust these, and do it well pretty safely on the fly. I have heard people shy away from this shoe because they are afraid it will break - no issues after about 2000 miles and no sign of wear. I always went for a cheaper, more flexible shoe before a serious biker friend of mine talked me into the High end Sidi. I thought the super stiff sole would be uncomfortable, but that is simply not the case. It feels like a custom fit shoe, and I have had no comfort issues, even on long rides. As with most high end bike shoes and ski boots, you will need to replace the wafer thin insole that comes with the shoe. They provide no support whatsoever. I actually use my Surefoot insole with these shoes. If this is in your budget, give this shoe a try, you are unlikely to be disappointed.
Jamie Preston, you said it bro! If you are buying a high end road cycling shoe, dial in the fit with a super good insole. Or go to your local high end bike shop, and have custom insoles made. I know,.....you spend big bucks on the shoe, and need a custom insole...but honestly I have had my custom insoles for over 10 years and they have been the best investment ever! I use them in my road shoes & Telemark boots in the winter. Soooooo nice! These shoes are considered to be a narrow "pro snug fit". As always, not all shoes are going to fit everyone perfectly. I hope that this additional information helps!
The Sidi shoes has been the perfect fit , and i dont know why they add an extra ankle adjustment the original version fits perfect like the new version, but both shoes are great and specially the Sidi shoes is the only shoes i i have not had any problems with my feet falling to sleep or pain on the bottom of my fit, "IF YOU GO SIDI YOU NEVER COME BACK"
the Sidi shoes did not fit? hummm, dont forget to take into consideration on the fact that you are getting older ohhh also if you have not been training this means you are getting heavier, all the Sidi shoes are made with the same mold for ages so they alwyas be a perfect fit!!
the free shipping says it will take 1.5-2 weeks for the package to arrive, beware though.
it might arrive quicker, im gettign the sidis shipped from realcyclist HQ in salt lake to near bellinghan WA and its gone from salt lake to seattle in 19 hours.....so instead of 2 weeks, im lookign at 1.5 days.
got the kicks today...pure sexy! fit is suberb, just like all my other sidis and the quality is top, props to the great packging by real cyclist. top notch site.
I love Sidi shoes and am contemplating ordering a pair of Sidi Ergo 2 in 43.5, in the Gold Vernice (if I can bring myself to get past the tacky gold color to get the good price!)--I currently wear a Sidi Genius 4 road shoe in a 43, which is nice and snug but I like it that way, and an older Sidi Dominator MTB shoe in a 42.5--I notice very little difference in the fit between 42.5 and 43. My running shoe size is 9 1/2 US. Will I be terribly disappointed with a Sidi Ergo 2 in a 43.5? Is the fit likely to be substantially different, and will the fine-tuning adjustment bells and whistles on the Ergo 2 overcome any fit problems I might have? It's only half a size European. It's a great price but still a lot of money--I want to consider this carefully....thanks! I wish they carried size 43.
My first pair is size 44 carbon Genius and that was a tiny bit too big. I tried on the 43.5 and 43...and 43.5 fits like a 44! I believe they use the same sole for both 43.5 and 44, thats why.
to me, 43 is snugged, but once u break them in with couple of saturday rides, they feel great.
These shoes definitely fall right in line with the years and years that Sidi has made cycling shoes. I absolutely love them when I had a contract with them in Italy but switched because back then they were super soft in the soles and I needed a very solid sole. They have obviously fixed that problem and other than that they were always amazingly comfortable. Are they worth the dough?.....For coolness absolutely! Put the color aside and note this about Sidi: they are one of the only companies on the planet that allows their top riders, ie. Bettini, Bartoli Museeuw etc, to have a mold made of their foot and the entire shoe is built around that mold. I actually got hooked up with Sidi through M. Bartoli and he couldn't say enough about them. All in all Sidi makes top notch gear and these are more of that same quality from a great company! As a thought, try some of the Castelli shoe covers to keep them looking as pimp as they do the day you buy them.
HELLO...!I wear sidi shoes 43(mtb blade) this mean 26.5 cm.Are the sidi ROAD exactly the same size or i have to choose different size?..Thanks anyway...gretings from Greece!PANAGIOTIS
The Sidi road and mountain shoes fit the same size wise. I would use the handy Sidi Shoe Sizer at the following web link.http://www.sidiusa.com/contents/en-us/SIDIShoeSizer.pdf

I absolutely love these shoes. I wore them on a century ride for their maiden voyage, and aside from a couple of tight spots from not being broken in yet, they fit like a glove, and are the most comfortable cycling shoe I have ever worn. The gold trim seemed kind of corny, but they actually aren't that noticeable, and blend in with whatever I am wearing.
These shoes are so amazing I had to call in about them. I just spoke with the backcountry.com customer service people. It looks like there will be more sizes coming in soon. More are on order from Sidi!
Fantastic set of shoes!! You get what you pay for. Once you get the "heel cup" adjusted this shoe fits snug and feels great. I have trusted SIDI for years and am very happy that I chose the Ergo2. Not only are these the best pair of road shoes I've ever owned, but I bought the GOLD pair... so they are also the best looking!
Once again ordering from RealCyclist was a joy, so easy and they ship fast.
amazing-unbelievable-fantastic!!!my english are not so good to describe exactly my feelings about these shoes.!great carbon sole lorica breaths ok...what else?i was wearing sidi mtb number 43.now the 43.5 is perfect!..i buy them at sale price....they are excellent! dont be afraid to buy the gold vernice!they are so unique......
I just purchased the Sidi Ergo 2 in the Gold Vernice. Who cares if it's a little flashy. For the price I couldn't pass it up. I also have a pair of Sidi Genius 5's which, until I purchased the Ergo 2, I thought was the best cycling shoe made. The Ergo 2 far surpasses the Genius 5. The carbon sole is much better than the Genius 5's sole as it feels like there is no loss of power to the pedals via sole flex, yet after a couple of 2hr. plus rides the carbon sole is very comfortable. Much more comfortable than a previous pair of Carnac M5's with a carbon sole that I owned. I like the adjustability of the fit, especially the heal cup. I also purchased and installed Superfeet insoles just to make an incredible shoe even better!
I bought these shoes based on the reviews I read at Real Cyclist. I went for the Gold Vernice mostly because the price was unbelievable! The color scared me a little but when I saw them I fell in love. The fit is incredible and they feel to me more like slippers than cycling shoes. The 4 different points of adjustment make the fit so custom it is sick. When I am out of the saddle hill climbing the slight flex in the sole actually feels like my feet are getting massaged. I am not kidding. I would recommend these to anyone. Live a little and get these shoes, you won't be sorry.
Best shoes on the the Planet, bar none...you'll love them.
The catch is a little different, I thin I like the previous Ergo 2 better.
I wish I could find the PLAIN WHITE ones, but they are hard to find. The durability of the fancy editions aren't as good as the straight lorica fabric, which is fantastic.
There is no better shoe out there. Make sure you get your EXACT size, they do come in half Euro sizes, a lot of places only sell whole sizes which is stupid. RealCyclist sells half sizes, and the prices are competitive.
If they are good enough for Palo Bettini then they are good enough for me! I love the bling factor & the fact that every rider strains their neck to check these out!
