Shimano Di2 RD-7970 Rear Derailleur

The Di2 RD-7970 Rear derailleur relies on the performance of servo-activated movement to provide undeniably fast and precise shifts every time. Through computer automated movement, every shift is analyzed and then synchronized by a servo motor for identical and exact shifts. While precisions is key, flexibility is worthy of note. Like the RD-7900 mechanical derailleur, a carbon pulley cage can accommodate hill-devouring 12-27t cassettes or mile-crunching 12-21’s. The Di2 rear derailleur marks the beginning of a new era in high performance road shifting.

Built in mechanism allows derailleur body to move inward under impact for reducing damage sustained in a crash
Cage design is compatible with a wide range of cassettes for varying terrain
Motion is controlled by a servo motor – instead of springs and cables for fast and precise shifting
Needs to be used in conjunction with Di2 Battery pack, Wiring kit, Shifters, and F.Der.,
