This is the ultimate stand for the DIY or pro mechanic. The tripod base is sturdy enough for my heavy mountain bike and the stand has a lot of vertical adjustment if you want to sit or stand while working. The quick release tube/seatpost clamp makes pulling out the bike a piece of cake and holds it firm enough for cranking down those 8mm crank bolts. Contrary to other reviews, it really takes a good pop to knock the bike lose on the quick release so I don't think you will do this by accident. It fits nicely in the carry bag and is about 6"x6"x4' when folded. The best part is that it's super light. I wouldn't mind taking this to races and setting up camp for the warmup/cooldown and last minute repair work. The pro stand is a great price and heavy duty, yet still not heavy enough to give you an upper body workout.

This shirt is a great baselayer. It wicks exceptionally well. I have not road tested it yet (winter calls for longsleeves), but I wear this shirt over my bibs for indoor spinning sessions. Hides your bib straps and keeps you cool! Since it's sleeveless, go with your chest size and not shoulder size. I wear a large in most jerseys, but the medium baselayer is a good, not baggy fit.

I purchased these socks for winter MTB riding in MA and used them last night in dry, 30 degree weather. Even with two pairs of wool socks underneath these Gore Socks, my feet froze within an hour and the wind cut right through for the rest of the 3 hour ride. I cannot attest to the water capabilities but for wind and warmth in the winter, I would stick to these layers from inside to out: normal wicking cycling socks, thick wool ski-type socks, tied-off plastic bags, MTB shoes, and neoprene booties.

Another great cycling product from Pearl Izumi! These socks wick great, but the material is a little thinner than I expected for winter warmth. For cold winter days and nights, these would make a great inner layer. The rest of the year, these would be great as your only pair.
