Why use your real name? Well, because it's real. There's no hiding, but on the other hand, you get real credit for your knowledge.Plus, it pays off: you get 50% more credit for your contributions. For more info check out the Help Center

Feedback Sports Truing Station

Feedback Sports Truing Station

Rating for this product: 5 September 21, 2009

A truing stand was the last piece of bike repair equipment I needed to avoid taking my bike to the LBS for service.

I've had an issue this summer with a few broken spokes, and at $30ea for spoke, labor and truing - it made sense to get a stand, and fast.

This was the most reasonably priced stand I could find, and reviews were positive.

In short- it does as advertised - it allows you to true a bicycle wheel. Quality is fine and its quite functional.

I don't build wheels, so I can't comment if it would be a good choice for that or not. But if truing your wheels and being self-sufficient is your goal - this is a great stand.

great

SockGuy Elite-Tech Sock - 3in

SockGuy Elite-Tech Sock - 3in

Rating for this product: 5 September 21, 2009

About 200 miles on a pair so far.

Fit is good. Quality of materials and construction is good.

Understated (black) look is good. Small logos are good.

These socks stay out of the way - I don't notice them - which is good.

They don't stink when I take them off. Good.

Feet feel comfortable in 90 degree heat or in 48 degree cool.

good...but

Giro Zero Cycling Glove

Giro Zero Cycling Glove

Rating for this product: 3 September 21, 2009

Pro - gloves are nice - no padding and well constructed. Nice materials. On and off is easy with the pull tabs on the fingers.

Cons - The lower palms bunched up after about 15 miles - and stayed that way. I guess there was either some extra leather in the palm or the gloves stretched a bit with use.

It drives me crazy - I can feel the "ridge" in the leather against my palms when on the hoods. No amount of pulling on the tab at the wrist will remove the "slack".

I may try to reshrink them to see if they will form to my hands. but as it is now, the extra material is a distraction.

Would be 5 stars but for the stretching!
