I have an Ultegra front derailer with 53-39 chainrings on my new Scott CX1 Pro. I want to upgrade the Ultegra front. Everything on the bike is stock. Can I put on an Ultegra SL without any other changes? What might be the best upgrade?

If you are going to upgrade from an Ultegra just go strait to Dura-ace. If you feel like upgrading your shifting on you bike at all the front derailleur would be the last thing I would ever change. Start with good shifters/ controls, then rear derailleur. The controls do the most important part of the work and the rear sees the most use...
