I have recently completed the Glasgow to Edinburgh run and found the bike great on moderate inclines and fantastic on level and downhill, but very difficult to negotiate on steep hills. Here, mountain bikes whizzed passed me, with legs going like whirlwinds at about 7mph while I struggled with considerbale pedal force to keep going at 4mph.
