I can't get the E.V.A. valve head that came with my SKS Renkompressor

SKS Rennkompressor Floor Pump

I can't get the E.V.A. valve head that came with my SKS Renkompressor floor pump to work with a schrader valve. The ad for the pump says that the valve head auto adjusts for presta and schrader valves. It works fine on the presta valve, but when I clamp it all the way down onto a schrader valve, there's nothing inside of the head to depress the needle in the middle of the valve to allow air in. When I try to pump air into the valve, it just builds up back pressure in the pump. No instructions came with the pump. What am I doing wrong?

I'm considering Road Drive to replace a stolen Pressure Drive,

Lezyne Road Drive Hand Pump

I'm considering Road Drive to replace a stolen Pressure Drive, but have a question about the frame mount. The frame mount on the Pressure Drive is nylon, and the pump clips into it first and then is secured by the strap. The machined mount with the Road Drive doesn't appear to clip onto the pump. The strap just holds it against the mount. Will this hold it as securely as the nylon clip on the Pressure Drive? I really want to be able to carry it with the frame mount and not in my jersey.
