Shimano Dura-Ace WH-7850-50 Carbon Wheelset - Tubular

Shimano put together carbon alloy rims, titanium hubs, and stainless spokes to created the Dura-Ace WH-7850-C50 Carbon Pro-Tour Aero Racing Wheel Set. Unlike other carbon wheel sets which buckle when the going gets tough, this one has the durability to handle everyday riding and the low weight you demand for races. Shimano also added wider flange hubs to boost lateral stiffness and increase power transfer when you’re going hard.

Bottom Line: Carbon wheels don’t have to be fragile.

Yes the bearings are sealed but no they are not Cartridge Bearings.
Shimano only uses Angular Contact Cup and Cone Bearings, allowing for a much small contact patch for the bearing and much more precise Adjustment. All Shimano Bearings have what we call out triple Labyrinth seals to keep water and grime out and are easy to service.
